The Lampposts at This Wedding Were Inspired by Disney World’s Main Street

Other Disney details included an ice sculpture of Cinderella’s castle, Disney music, and vintage Disney posters.

Kamden, a teacher, and Sam, an electrician, met on Bumble and got to know each other during an initial FaceTime call that lasted four hours. On their first date, they played football—a pastime they bonded over and shared with friends.

For the big day, the pair leaned into vintage Disney with details inspired by the theme park and movies they grew up loving. “Our goal was to make our guests feel like they’d stepped into our own dream world, where they could share in the magic and charm that Disney has always represented to us,” says Kamden. Lamps on the reception tables created a warm, homey vibe; vintage place settings and old-time Disney posters on the tables added whimsy; and the lampposts outside the tent were meant to be reminiscent of Main Street USA. Disney music punctuated the weekend’s soundtrack, and notes from the Star Wars cantina song kicked off the Champagne pour at cocktail hour. Kamden’s dad planned an unscripted bibbidi-bobbidi-boo moment, surprising her with an ice sculpture of Cinderella’s castle.
