Situated on three-and-a-half acres along Charles Town Pike in the Loudoun County town of Hamilton, a multi-building property currently being operated as a winery and Airbnb, Firefly Cellars, just came on the market for $2.5 million. It’s both a potential home and a “flexible hospitality and gathering-oriented property,” says Redfin’s Jake Barney, who listed the property along with Tammy of the Lê & Barney Group.

The main building—which could be used as a residence—is a 3,100-square-foot open-concept space with a kitchen, living area, and one bedroom on the main level—previously used as a bridal suite—and a second bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Flanking the main residence: another smaller building known as “The Jar” offers a more casual gathering space, with a wine cellar and a finished upstairs office area; and there’s a guest cottage that’s currently being used as a short-term rental with one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen, its own fenced pool, and a hot tub. (This, Barney notes, is typically booked at least 65 percent of the year.)

Just down the driveway, there’s a red barn-like building (currently the tasting room) with a 1,200-square-foot deck that opens to an outdoor space ideal for picnics and events.

And while it’s primed to transition into something else—that the acreage isn’t enough to continue wine production beyond the end of the year according to new legislation, so a wedding venue, a retreat concept, even a private residential compound is ideal—about half an acre is still under vine.

Other listing highlights: the property backs to a 20-acre horse farm and there’s parking for at least 50 vehicles. See photos of the listing below.

The tasting room opens to a spacious deck and picnic area.

Inside the main building, there’s a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom on the first floor, plus a second bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

The building known as “The Jar” offers a more casual hangout space, plus a wine cellar and a finished second-level space that can be used as an office.

The one-bedroom cottage is popular on Airbnb.
