7 Kid-Friendly Easter Events Around the DC Area

Easter Egg Hunt

This Loudoun County outdoor play place has a ton of cool activities to keep kids entertained. Families can go on wagon rides, roast marshmallows, and take photos with a jumbo Easter egg. Also, youth can meet spring chicks, baby goats, and pigs while searching for treat-stuffed eggs ($12+ for adults and $10+ for children, $8 additional for egg hunt).

Bunnyland

Hop over to this orchard’s popular spring fest, Bunnyland. Along with traditional Easter activities such as egg hunts and goodie baskets, youngsters can ride giant slides, bounce on jump pads, meet farm animals, play corn hole, go on a hayride, and more ($13.50+ for adults, free for children 12 months and younger).

Egg Hunt

Bring your own basket to Cherry Hill Park’s annual holiday egg hunt. The excitement kicks off at 9:15 AM with crafts and games. At 10 AM, there’s an egg hunt followed by a 10:30 magic show with Abracadabra Alex at the barn. Families can also take pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny (free).

Easter at The Perch

Farm Easter Egg Hunt

Spring Egg Hunt in the Gardens

Go on a refreshing stroll through Meadowlark Botanical Gardens to search for eggs on a spring scavenger hunt with the family. At your pace you can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet, and follow the directions to find giant eggs throughout the grounds. Children complete their sheet by drawing each egg they find, and then submitting it for a prize ($9).
