The most impressive turnaround of 2025 was this modern Filipino restaurant, which chef/owner Paolo Dungca shuttered on H Street in June, then resurrected in Dupont just two months later. The new space is a cozy, homey setting for Dungca’s cooking, which is both vivid and comforting. Nibble on chorizo sliders topped with pickled papaya before moving on to a grilled half chicken with spicy vinegar or a classic sisig, the sizzling hash of chopped pork.
