Mallory, a project manager from Ashburn, and Grant, a senior financial analyst from Purcellville, were introduced by a mutual friend (who would later serve as the best man at their wedding). Two and a half years later, they got engaged at the top of Sapphire Point Overlook on a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado.
Their April wedding in Middleburg, they say, was inspired by the designs of Ralph Lauren, incorporating rich textures, warm tones, and refined details, with a color scheme that included hunter green, black, cream, and white. One of their priorities for the day was ensuring that their guests had all the comforts of being indoors while celebrating outdoors—they opted for upholstered chairs, chesterfield sofas, chandeliers, credenzas, and wooden tables. They also bought Hermes blankets and pillows with the brand’s signature H, which they chose to represent their newly shared last initial. They wanted their ceremony and reception to have distinct, yet cohesive aesthetics, and chose floral designs that featured only white roses for the ceremony, and no roses at all for the reception.
Mallory’s favorite part were the Lebanese desserts her aunt made that her dad brought back from Lebanon—she says her dad was born and raised there, and she wanted to share that part of her family in a meaningful way. “They were a hit and were gone within minutes!” Grant’s favorite detail was the cocktail napkins, which featured the faces of their dogs. Following the big day, the couple honeymooned at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. See the details of their big day below.
