Where to Find Easter Brunches and Egg Hunts Around DC

Celebrate on Sunday with Peeps French toast and plenty of Easter bunny appearances.

Blue Duck Tavern

1201 24th St., NW

You’ll get a lavish Easter feast at this Park Hyatt dining room. The $165-per-person brunch (kids 6 to 12 are $75) kicks off with a sprawling spread of starters—think charcuterie, seafood, smoked fish, and salads—then moves onto plated entrées and family-style sides. Highlights include pastrami-smoked salmon Benedict, slow-roasted prime rib, and spring risotto. Save room for dessert—there will be a full display from the pastry kitchen. Cheese lovers should head to this Del Ray gourmet shop/restaurant for an Easter brunch featuring grilled cheese sandwiches ($17), cheesesteaks ($22), and—from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM—a visit from the Easter Bunny. Reservations are available here.

 

Corso

Hop over to Shirlington for an affordable Italian-style brunch at Corso. For $29 per person, guests can graze on all-you-can-eat small plates then choose an entrée like ricotta pancakes. Chiko’s breakfast-obsessed sister restaurant on Barracks Row is serving à la carte Easter brunch all day. Try Peeps French toast ($17) or a ham plate ($19), plus colorful deviled eggs ($6). No reservations required.

 

Little Blackbird

3309 Connecticut Ave., NW

This Cleveland Park wine bar is putting a playful spin on Easter sweets with themed wine pairings throughout April. Try Peeps with Sauternes ($17), Cadbury Creme Eggs with orange Muscat ($15), Cadbury Mini Eggs with Madeira ($19), and jellybeans with Blanc de Blanc ($15). Make a reservation here.

Kid-free this Sunday? Head to this Park View wine garden for an adults-only Spring Fling party. Expect free-flowing wine, Easter-themed bites, an egg hunt with prizes, and music from 1 to 5 PM. Tickets start at $90.

Tari Trattoria

300 Morse St., NE

This Amalfi Coast-inspired Union Market spot is celebrating Pasqua with an Easter menu alongside its regular offerings. Highlights include minestra maritata (a classic soup of beef ribs, pork sausage, and greens); housemade carbonara; and roasted rabbit with fava beans, potatoes, and mint. Thompson Italian

Head to these neighborhood Italian spots from chef couple Gabe and Katherine Thompson for a kid-friendly Easter brunch (11 AM to 2:30 PM). Both the Falls Church and Old Town locations will feature a $60 prix-fixe menu with family-style starters, a choice of mains, and dessert; kids can order from a $25 menu. This Silver Spring cafe is serving a $45 prix-fixe menu with dishes like cardamom French toast, a smoked salmon croissant sandwich, and biscuits with bacon jam and pimiento stracciatella. Bottomless mimosas or Bloody Marys are $25. For kids, a $35 menu includes an Easter goody bag, and there will be a garden egg hunt throughout the day. Seating is available from 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
