Your blog, McKennaBleu.com, shows you all over the globe.
The travel bug bit me a few years back when my husband was attached to a military unit in Europe. After many deployments spent apart, I was able to spend three months with him in Europe in 2013. We made it to 15 countries that summer, an experience I will hold close to my heart always.
Where else have you been?
I’ve visited 24 countries in total. I still have so many places I want to see, but Tahiti is at the top of my list.
How do you approach packing?
I have found trying on and planning full outfits for each day makes my life so much easier—not to mention that it cuts down on my packing. When you reach your destination, there is no fuss about what to wear, only a matter of which outfit for which day.
What’s your airport uniform?
I try for a look that’s comfortable and chic—a great pair of distressed denim, an extra-soft tee, a scarf, and flats.
You’re about to board a flight. What’s in your carry-on?
My iPhone and charger, an iPad, headphones, fuzzy socks, a book, Starbursts—preferably all pink ones—hand sanitizer, and gossip magazines. I would never leave home without my oversize shocking-pink cashmere pashmina. I’m always cold on flights, so this keeps me bundled up, and the color is to die for.
