A DC Guy Planned Six Dates in a Single Night—and All the Women Found Out

The girls ended up grabbing drinks together at a bar across the street, and now they're planning a brunch.

It’s generally taboo for a guy to schedule two dates in one night: at some point, he looks at his phone awkwardly, takes a call, makes up an excuse, and leaves. Even worse: If the first girl somehow finds out about her date’s second plan, she’ll be beyond peeved—it’s just about the principle of the matter. One night, one date, one girl.

But yesterday night, a guy named Justin threw all dating principles out the window. He planned not one, not two, but six dates in a single night at the Truxton Inn in DC.

Justin warned his first date, Lisette Pylant, about meeting up with friends at 6:15, but when the time came, it was his second date who showed up. Pylant figured out his lie, and pulled aside the woman (when Justin left to take a call) to let her know what was going on. Then, she began a now-viral thread of tweets, live-updating the night.

By the time the third girl showed up—the one who Justin was on the phone with—Pylant took matters into her own hands: all three left to get drinks together at ANXO Cidery across the street.

Pylant figured, of course, that there couldn’t be a fourth…but she texted her two friends to camp out at the Truxton just to see what else this Justin guy was up to. Pylant told New York magazine, “They were half kidding. But then they texted me ‘dude, he’s here with a fourth girl!’”

The night only got weirder from there…

So, just to recap: while date No. 4 was still at the Truxton with Justin, unaware of his night’s many plans, Pylant was drinking at the bar across the street with dates Nos. 2, 3, and 5.

Date 5 left the girls for a bit and headed to the Truxton to explain to Justin why she would not be attending their date after all—and he simply dismissed her, saying, “Oh no, you’re already cut.” At least you could have pretended to be nice here, Justin?

Meanwhile, Pylant and Justin’s other dates have become best friends in the process. At least a bit of a silver lining…

And last, but surely not least, there was date number 6, whom it appears Justin simply abandoned. Good job, Justin.

Pylant told New York that there wasn’t a seventh or eight date. PHEW, the saga ends. And now we’re all left wondering: why, Justin, why? But apparently, he’s just a very busy guy:

All you other project managers out there, don’t start getting any ideas.
