Pride on the Pier Returns to The Wharf to Kick Off Pride Week in D.C.

The countdown to Pride Week starts at the waterfront.

On Saturday, June 13, the Washington Blade’s annual Pride on the Pier returns to The Wharf, bringing thousands of LGBTQ locals, visitors, families, and allies together for an afternoon and evening of music, community, and celebration. The free event runs from 4-9 p.m. and officially kicks off Pride Week in the nation’s capital.

Hosted by the Washington Blade, Pride on the Pier has become one of D.C.’s signature Pride traditions—transforming District Pier into a vibrant gathering place where community, culture, and entertainment come together against one of the city’s most scenic backdrops.

Whether you’re visiting D.C. for Pride or you’re a longtime local, Pride on the Pier offers a welcoming space to celebrate the diversity and resilience of the LGBTQ community.

Entertainment includes:

  • Pride365 Radio — Live broadcast from 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Drag Show hosted by Venetian — 6:00 p.m.
  • DJ Chord — 7:00–9:00 p.m.
