A lot of Washingtonians have experienced challenges over the past few months. In an effort to spread some community love around town, we’ve compiled a list of events and volunteer opportunities to help you pay it forward.

The one-of-a-kind annual Cupid’s Undie Run takes over the Wharf this weekend. Dress in your Valentine’s-themed undergarments and jog or dance at Union Stage for a good cause; event proceeds help support people affected by neurofibromatosis ($45+).

CCAN’s Polar Bear Plunge

Don’t worry: this year’s Polar Bear Plunge is not plunging into the Potomac, due to the recent contamination from sewage. Instead, there will be a series of “winter water games” on the banks of the river at National Harbor. It’s all for a good cause—to raise funds for Chesapeake Climate Action (donations welcome).
