Serena and Jack’s “books and barista” wedding at the Meridian House is made for coffee and literature lovers alike. To create their one-of-a-kind theme, the couple chose coffee-colored linens and flowers to decorate, such as toffee and cappuccino-hued roses. Signature drinks featured a lavender mule, reminiscent of Serena’s coffee order, a lavender latte, and dinner concluded with a full-service coffee bar. Our favorite detail? The interactive escort wall display, which featured name cards attached to coffee grounds and a golden spoon and doubled as favors.
As for the “books” aspect of their wedding, this was very important to Serena as she comes from a family of printers and copywriters. “Paper was always a focal point when dreaming of a wedding day, says Serena. “Our planner, Laura, found a way to personalize [our invitations] within our budget, from customized letterpress invitations from Minted down to a unique envelope insert from an artist on Etsy that tied in our color scheme.” The Dandelion Patch also provided the day-of paper needs to bring the theme “full circle,” says Serena.
