Costumed competitors donned their tallest heels for the annual 17th Street High Heel Race on Tuesday night. The pre-Halloween tradition returned for its 35th year, featuring a quarter-mile dash in Dupont Circle. Washingtonian photographer Evy Mages captured the scene.
